Project Coordinator
Our growing company is seeking to hire a Project Coordinator who will assist our team in organizing ongoing projects. This task involves: attending project walk through, issuing tender information for sub-contractors, evaluating tenders, monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. To be successful the ideal candidate will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, and have exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. Construction related field of study and at least two (2) years of relevant experience would be preferred.
- Attending project walk through, accumulate relevant project information and tender out to sub-contractors
- Compiling sub-contractor bids in spreadsheet format for review
- Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
- Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings.
- Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
- Ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Providing administrative support as needed.
- Undertaking project tasks as required.
- Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
- Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
- Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
List of qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Education/College Diploma – Commercial/Industrial related fields preferred
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Valid Full G Ontario Drivers License
- Proficient in the English language (written and oral) with strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to meet and adhere to deadlines and work under strict time constraints
- Be self-motivated and driven
- Field Project Management experience an asset
Skilled Labourer/Handyman
Proven track record, dedicated, able to complete quality work and maintain/build relationships with customers. Required to perform many different construction tasks. Skill set includes trouble shooting for problems and a wide range of repair and maintenance skills with experience in: Carpentry, drywall, taping, framing, tile setting, painting, plumbing, concrete and cleaning. Must be a self-starter.
- Skilled tradesman with maintenance/repair understanding and experience
- Carpentry background, experienced with all tools and can "do it all" attitude
- Precise, accurate and good record keeping ability
- Own tools to fit for many job types would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills
- Clean driving record and pass a background check
- Must be friendly with good, clean appearance
- Takes pride in work and delivers a great product each time
- Must have valid licence and own vehicle

Site Supervisor
We are looking for a Site Supervisor. In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing site management and coordination for commercial and Industrial renovation projects
List of responsibilities:
- Manage and Coordinate construction team and subcontractors to complete projects on time and on budget
- Monitors budget, schedule, client relations and ensure smooth and seamless construction process
- Manage all aspects of job sites and daily operations opening and closing job sites
- Meet and communicate with clients, staff, trades and sub-contractors regarding the job progress and provide appropriate feedback
- Organize meetings as required and publish minutes
- Complete final job walk-through with owner, clients, designers, officials, engineers, etc. and ensure completion of deficiencies
- Facilitate change orders process (approval, schedule, notify office, ensure completion and sign off
- Delegate responsibilities, co-ordinate and schedule work, track and review progress
- Evaluate quality of work and provide feedback
- Ensure team members are working safely and following safe work practices for construction site
- Obtain quotes and order/purchase material and tools for job site
- Ensure all tools are well maintained and advise if new purchases are required. Schedule all purchases and ensure timely material deliveries
- Resolve/Avoid conflicts
List of qualifications:
- Fluent in English
- Education and familiarity with construction methods, codes and possess a good working knowledge of commercial and industrial construction (ie: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, etc.)
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence and have a vehicle
- Strong computer skills and proficient with excel, work, Outlook, scheduling software and web-bases work platforms
- Proven ability to work effectively and independently and demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Professional and responsible with clients, employees, subcontractors and management
- Proficient with communication, team building, analytics, interpersonal, problem solving, decision making, stress management and time management skills
